Social-media sensation Olivia Dunne has offered a special reward for any fan that can find a one-of-a-kind Paul Skenes rookie card developed by Topps.
Topps announced the release of the unique card, which was signed by Skenes and features part of his jersey from his first season with the Pittsburgh Pirates, on Sunday.
Skenes and Dunne have been dating for over a year, going back to his days pitching for LSU.
The card is in one pack that was given to stores on Wednesday. No one has stepped forward with the proof of having the valuable card yet.
That has led to the Pirates offering an incredible deal to whoever finds it. Then Dunne herself raised the reward.
‘Let’s raise the stakes…the person who finds the card can sit with me at a Pirates game in my suite,’ Dunne posted to X.
That led to plenty of Dunne’s fans responding in ways that have been consistent with other of the LSU gymnast’s ventures.
‘Hello I am holder of pat skeenes card. Please send me your number and many pictures of face. I will be seeing shortly. Thanks livvie,’ one person said on X.
The Pirates’ deal to find the rookie card was already a lucrative deal.
Trading in the card to the team would get anyone two Pirates season tickets behind home plate for the next 30 years, a meet and greet with Skenes, and two Skenes autographed jerseys.
That’s far from it, as Pittsburgh has also offered a softball game for 30 people at PNC Park, with coaching from Pirates alumni and a private tour of Pirates city and LECOM Park, with the latter tours part of the team’s Spring Training facilities in Florida.
The Pirates have also teased ‘and more unique experiences’ as part of the trade for the card.
It’s a package money cannot buy with Dunne sweetening the pot that much more.
