Congress—with Kamala Harris on hand—just certified Trump’s election win this Monday, January 6. For Joe Biden, it’s time to reflect upon one of his favorite subjects—J6, 2021.

In an op-ed for the Washington Post, the president—or should I say his staffers—waxed poetic:
On this Jan. 6, order will be called. Clerks, staff and members of Congress will gather to certify the results of a free and fair presidential election and ensure a peaceful transfer of power. Capitol Police will stand guard over the citadel of our democracy.
The vice president of the United States, faithful to her duty under our Constitution, will preside over the certification of her opponent’s victory in the November election.
It is a ceremony that for more than two centuries has made America a beacon to the world, a ceremony that ratifies the will of the voters.
For much of our history, this proceeding was treated as pro forma, a routine act. But after what we all witnessed on Jan. 6, 2021, we know we can never again take it for granted.
The Reality: Former Capitol Police Officer Gives Force an ‘F’ Grade for Jan. 6 Preparedness
January 6 has become an obsession for Biden and the Democrats; sometimes, it seems like that’s all they can talk about. Never mind that the American people decisively proved on November 5 that they have moved past it.
Joe continued:
Thousands of rioters crossed the National Mall and climbed the Capitol walls, smashing windows and kicking down doors. Just blocks away, a bomb was found near the location of the incoming vice president, threatening her life. Law enforcement officials were beaten, dragged, knocked unconscious and stomped upon. Some police officers ultimately died as a result.

No police officers died on that day—although Ashli Babbit was needlessly shot and killed. Biden doesn’t mention her.

He goes on:
As president-elect that day, I spoke to the country and called for peace, and for the certification to resume.
So did Donald Trump. “Go home with love & in peace. Remember this day forever!” he tweeted.
On a day when Biden should be reflecting on what went wrong with his disastrous presidency, he instead tries to rekindle old flames and divide Americans even more, as he’s proven so adept at doing time and time again.
And we should commit to remembering Jan. 6, 2021, every year. To remember it as a day when our democracy was put to the test and prevailed. To remember that democracy — even in America — is never guaranteed.
We should never forget it is our democracy that makes everything possible — our freedoms, our rights, our liberties, our dreams. And that it falls to every generation of Americans to defend and protect it.
There’s such an obvious problem with that last paragraph. “Our freedoms, our rights, our liberties, our dreams” were not seriously put to the test on J6 – but they were throughout the Biden-Harris-Garland regime, which weaponized the Department of Justice and FBI. If there was an assault on democracy, it came directly from Biden and his cronies themselves.

J6 happened, and some bad stuff went down (although maybe it wouldn’t have if adequate security had been in place). Did it almost topple the United States? Not hardly. The George Floyd riots happened too—does Joe write lyrical op-eds about them?” No.

The truth is, we should learn from those events and make sure nothing like that happens again. We don’t need to fixate endlessly over them, however, when our country faces far more profound challenges.
Joe Biden is irrelevant at this point, and few people care what he has to say about January 6—or anything else.
