Paige DeSorbo was forced to deny cheating rumors and clarify the timeline of her and Craig Conover’s shock split — less than two months after the news broke.
On Tuesday, the Summer House star, 32, slammed online speculation that she was unfaithful to the 35-year-old hunk during their three-year romance.
‘I never, in the three years that I dated my ex-boyfriend, I never physically cheated on him [or] emotionally cheated on him,’ DeSorbo said in the latest episode of her Giggly Squad podcast.
‘Can you mentally cheat on him? I don’t know, but I didn’t,’ the Southern Charm alum added, driving the point home.
Shedding light on the timeline of their split, DeSorbo claimed her and Conover called it quits over ‘Thanksgiving weekend’ at the ‘end of November’, one month before she confirmed the news publicly.
‘Craig then went on and did press for Southern Charm, did whatever he needed to do, acting as if we were still together,’ she told her audience. ‘And that was fine. I said that he could do that. He was processing in his own way. Christmas came and went.’
After that interview, Paige claimed the six-foot-three star began to ‘present himself as single’ and when she reached out to him in regards to publicizing their split, Craig never responded.
With the ball in her court, she shared the news via her podcast in December, shocking fans.
‘And then the narrative just like took a turn really quickly that I had cheated, that I broke up with him like a week [before the podcast] [and] moved on with some new guy,’ she added.
DeSorbo said she has not ‘moved on’ with someone new since her split and clarified that she is ‘single.’
‘Let me say this here and now, I did not move on with some new guy. I am single,’ she shared.
‘I don’t have a new boyfriend. I did not cheat on my ex-boyfriend. And it was a full month that we were broken up, and I didn’t say anything.’
Though the reason behind the couple’s break up has not yet been revealed, DeSorbo hinted that the relationship may have run its natural course.
‘When you’re in a relationship, things happen in your relationship. You take inventory of them, you evaluate and then you decide if you wanna go forth with that relationship,’ she explained.
‘And that’s what I did. I decided that I did not want to go forth with that relationship, but no one was blindsided, no one was cheated on.’
‘I really took to heart what I said on Giggly Squad when I first announced my breakup. It was really hard for me. And I felt like I spoke extremely highly of him,’ she finished.
Earlier in January, Craig broke his silence on the split via Instagram telling fans that he and Paige’s break up left him ‘very shocked.’
‘It takes two people to be in a relationship and you can’t control other people, you can only control how you react to it. Remember to be kind to Paige and me and yourselves and all of that good stuff,’ he wrote.
‘I’m still processing everything, which is normal. It’s a three-year relationship, it’s your best friend who you talk to all day everyday, and then they’re just gone. So, you know, one day I’ll be able to talk more on it.’
The now exes first met in the Hamptons while filming the Bravo reality series Summer House in 2019 and started dating by the summer of 2021.
Recently, Craig insisted he would have proposed to Paige if they had not gone their separate ways, but noted ‘she changes her mind a lot.’
Paige was recently spotted hanging out with mystery man at the Philadelphia Eagles versus Green Bay Packers game.
