Brazilian police continue to search for answers after a porn star plunged to her death from a balcony while filming a threesome, as they question whether she might have been deliberately killed.
Anna Beatriz Pereira Alves, known online as Anna Polly, was found lifeless last week in a courtyard at an aparthotel in Nova Iguacu, roughly 25 miles northwest of Rio de Janeiro.
The 28-year-old adult content creator is believed to have fallen as she was filming X-rated scenes for her OnlyFans with two unnamed men.
But police still do not know whether the fall was an accident or a crime, and are analysing hotel CCTV images as part of their investigation.
Meanwhile, family and friends of Alves have said that she was being pressured and harassed online by some of her fans and subscribers, Brazilian outlet Metropoles reported.
Cops are aware of this and have taken in Alves’ phone as evidence.
The men who were with the adult content creator at the time of her fall reportedly gave investigators conflicting accounts of what occurred before the incident, and according to news outlet Globo, they were questioned for the second time on Thursday, but no arrests have been made.
The results of the post-mortem have not been published and it is not yet clear if there was a presence of drugs in Alves’ system or anything suggesting she was a victim of sexual violence.
A spokesman for the Baixada Fluminense Homicide Unit, which is leading the investigation, told local press: ‘We are conducting a thorough investigation to clarify what happened.
‘It’s a complex case, and we don’t rule out any possibility, from an accident to a possible crime.’
Her boyfriend Pedro Henrique told Brazilian magazine Quem: ‘All the information about the case is already in the hands of the police and they are investigating.
‘If someone is to blame, they will pay and the culprit will be found. She died in the fall. There was no time to save her.’
Alves is believed to have died at the four-star Mont Blanc Apart Hotel in Nova Iguacu, according to local reports.
Graphic footage showing a police officer standing over a body – believed to be Alves – in a blood-covered sheet has been published online.
Alves was buried on January 25, according to an Instagram post made by her boyfriend.
He said in a social media tribute as he announced details of her funeral: ‘It’s so difficult without you.
‘As the hours pass it’s starting to sink in and the hole in my heart is only getting bigger.’
Meanwhile, a friend of Alves said of the influencer: ‘She had loads of plans, she wanted to expand her presence on social media and she always spoke enthusiastically about her future projects.
‘This news has left everyone stunned.’
