Queen Maxima of the Netherlands cut a bright figure as she stepped out in a green monochrome look in Utrecht.
The Dutch royal, 53, beamed as she headed in to the National Education Exhibition in the Jaarbeurs venue in the medieval city on Tuesday.
The mother-of-three looked sensational in a knee-length, green, A-line leather skirt that she paired with a matching boxy green top.
Maxima added a nude, woven leather clutch bag and matching knee-high boots to balance her otherwise bold outfit.
The queen accessorised with a statement snake brooch from the British brand Sardi, which was founded in 1974 and is known for its colourful jewellery, as well as a pair of simple silver earrings and a chunky ring.
While she kept her base makeup fresh and dewy, she added a sweep of dark eyeliner for a dramatic finish.
The skirt is one of the Queen’s favourite pieces that she has worn on a number of occasions since 2021, with the stylish royal re-inventing it over the years by making small alterations.
During her visit on Tuesday, Maxima officially opened National Education Exhibition which is the largest trade event for professionals in childcare, out-of-school care, primary and secondary education.
She beamed as she entered the venue space before sitting down among the audience to listen to a speech.
She also addressed the gathering before meeting stallholders and professionals and posing for photographs.
Her latest outing comes after she visited an award-winning business in her country’s south earlier this month.
The royal chose a formal red outfit for her visit to Royal Cosun, an agricultural co-operative in the village of Dinteloord and the winner of the King Willem I award – the most prestigious business accolade in the Netherlands.
Underneath a cherry-coloured coat, Máxima wore a crimson silk skirt and a long-sleeved blouse in the same shade.
The royal accessorised her tailored top with a diamond-encrusted brooch in the shape of a flower.
While Máxima wore red patent high heels and carried a snake-skin clutch bag, the most striking part of her outfit was undoubtedly her dramatically tilted headwear.
Beneath her hat, the Dutch queen’s shoulder-length, blond hair was swept back to reveal a pair of diamond earrings.
Radiant Máxima kept her make-up simple for the occasion, adding brown eyeshadow to her kohl-lined lids and a slick of lipstick.
The King Willem I awards honour businesses that have shown ‘courageous, resilient and sustainable leadership’.
The second week of January has been a particularly busy – and varied – one for Queen Máxima.
Earlier this month, she took part in a community embroidery project in The Hague.
Máxima was typically stylish in a purple ensemble as she participated in the At Home in The Hague art project run by the organisation Haags Verhaal.
Focused on finding the common thread that makes different people feel at home in the Dutch city, participants illustrate their sense of being at home by sewing a symbol or a phrase on a piece of fabric using a red thread.
Máxima, who looked striking in a purple outfit and tan high heels, threw herself into the project, embroidering a piece of fabric with her initial, ‘M’.
Dressed for the cool weather in a beige double-breasted coat with a waist belt, the royal soon removed her outerwear to reveal a pair of purple satin trousers and a matching top with statement sleeves.
She completed her look with a pair of towering tan suede heels and a matching clutch bag.
The beaming queen wore her blond, shoulder-length hair down in a classic blow dry and looked typically radiant despite wearing minimal make-up.
She added a pair of statement green and blue earrings and sported a slim watch on her left wrist along with a gold charm bracelet.
Máxima joined participants at the embroidery session, chatting and laughing with the other men and women as she embarked on her own sewing project – which she proudly held up for photographers.
She was later pictured pinning her work to a hut structure covered in participants’ creations.
