Rebel Wilson breaks silence on feud with bestie Hugh Sheridan after he announced the pair had a huge falling out

Rebel Wilson says she has patched up her relationship with former best friend Hugh Sheridan and the two are on good terms.

The Australian actress, 44, told KIIS FM’s The Kyle and Jackie O show on Wednesday the pair have buried the hatchet after he was not invited to her Italian wedding, and even celebrated New Year’s Eve together.

Host Kyle Sandilands asked Rebel about Hugh after he previously revealed they were no longer speaking.

‘He was in here last year and it felt like there’s some sh*t going down. He said he wasn’t invited to your wedding,’ Kyle said.

Rebel responded: ‘We were all on a boat on New Year’s Eve at Sydney Harbour with Robbie Williams and his family.’

‘It was great. It was good to see him.’

Kyle then asked Rebel why Hugh was not invited to her wedding to Ramona Agruma despite having introduced them to one another.

‘We had a very small, intimate wedding. We only had, like, 50 people,’ the Pitch Perfect star explained.

‘It was going to be just family because I hadn’t met Ramona’s family because they’re Eastern European and they had some issues with the (same-sex) relationship. We were a bit nervous about that.

‘And then we invited some friends. It was very last minute.’

Hugh told The Kyle and Jackie O show in September he no longer speaks to Rebel and her wife Ramona, despite setting the couple up.

During the interview, host Kyle asked Hugh whether he was travelling to Italy to attend Rebel and Ramona’s wedding.

‘No, I wasn’t even told about it. I’ve actually messaged them [but I didn’t hear back],’ the actor responded.

‘Look, I don’t even really know them anymore.’

‘Did you do something wrong?’ a surprised Kyle asked before Hugh admitted he had ‘no idea what has happened’.

‘On their first date, I even gave them both little Tiffany necklaces and they still wear them,’ Hugh continued.

‘I just hope that everything goes well for Rebel. I do worry about it though because I went to court for her here and we were really great mates.

‘I did introduce her to Ramona and all that sort of thing. I just want her to have good people around.

‘And I worry because I feel like back in the day, I was probably one of the only people that would be there for her and now with the silence and stuff, I just want to make sure she’s all right, but I’m sure she’s all right.’

Hugh also revealed how he introduced Rebel to his assistant and now ‘she doesn’t talk to me either’.

Hugh was friends with both Rebel and Ramona individually before realising the two would be great for each other.

He ‘played Cupid’ by setting them up in 2021.

Hugh said in April last year he had not met Rebel’s daughter Royce Lillian, who she welcomed via surrogate.

‘I’ve been going hard since the end of last year – we did Solitary Man, we shot Five Bedrooms, we put out Back to the Rafters – it’s been really busy but really fulfilling,’ the star told The Daily Telegraph at the time.

‘I’ll be going back to LA after this Sydney run and will finally get to meet Royce.

‘When I was back there, they were away so I haven’t seen them yet – but I’m looking forward to connecting to all my friends over there.’
