Reporter Drops Reality Check After Kamala Harris Takes Yet Another Trump Quote About Women Out of Context

Though either making something up that no one has said or taking your political opponent’s words out of context is a tactic that we see almost daily in American politics, the mainstream media and the Harris-Walz campaign have turned doing so into almost an art form over the last several months.

That of course has continued down the homestretch, with the latest fauxrage generated being over comments GOP presidential nominee Donald Trump made during his Wisconsin campaign rally Wednesday which he traveled to in a garbage truck and spoke at while wearing an orange safety vest, condemning President Joe Biden calling his supporters “garbage.”

Trump also talked about his plan for America, including his ideas for securing the southern border and protecting all Americans, including women “whether they like it or not.” Predictably, the quote has been taken out of context by the MSM and Democrats in an effort to pander to female voters.

Here’s the NY Times, for instance:

And Democrat presidential nominee Kamala Harris, after referencing a deceptively edited version, tweeted this:

Donald Trump thinks he should get to make decisions about what you do with your body.

Whether you like it or not.

On MSNBC Thursday (where the comments were also taken out of context), she did it again with a very serious and concerned look on her face for emphasis:

Fox News national correspondent Bill Melugin was quick to swoop in with a reality check, providing the critical context behind what Trump was talking about:

As we reported earlier, the MSM has a very nasty habit of “summarizing” a candidate’s words in order to turn them into whatever they want them to mean. And oftentimes they do this without providing any available video footage that the viewer/reader could use to formulate their own opinions, instead of the press spoonfeeding them to them.

With that in mind, click below to watch the actual video for Trump’s full comments, which as you’ll see – and Melugin correctly noted – have nothing to do with wanting to “control” women:

I don’t speak for all women but I can tell you right now that I pray so hard every day that women across this country outright reject the pandering and fearmongering coming from Democrats. It’s an insult to our intelligence every day to be given a steady stream of emotional manipulation about how Republicans supposedly want to take us back to the dark ages.

And for anyone out there who thinks it is Republicans who are a danger to women, remember before you head to the ballot box that the same party that is telling you all of this refuses to define what a woman actually is anymore, and won’t protect their safe spaces like bathrooms and locker rooms.

Think about it. Get mad about it. And vote accordingly.
