REVEALED: Ex-Packers running back Eddie Lacy was four time over legal limit in DUI arrest

Former Green Bay Packers running back Eddie Lacy was allegedly four times over the legal limit when he was arrested for DUI, it has now emerged.

The 34-year-old was pulled over at around 10:40pm on September 30 after police allegedly witnessed him committing several moving violations.

Lacy is said to have had a BAC of .325 when Scottsdale officers on the scene conducted a breathalyzer test, according to TMZ

A woman called 911 to report a vehicle matching the description of Lacy’s Audi SUV was driving erratically, Scottsdale police said.

‘I was on the highway for a couple of miles following him. He could not stay in his lane,’ the woman told the dispatcher. ‘Speeds up. Slams on the breaks. He’s going to kill somebody.’

When asked by the dispatcher if she believed the driver was intoxicated, the woman responded: ‘Well he’s on something because he can’t drive straight.’

Officer shortly pulled Lacy over, claiming that his speech was slow in the police report.

‘Eddie’s speech was slow,’ one cop wrote in the documents, ‘slurred and mumbled as soon as I began talking to him.’

Bodycam footage obtained by TMZ showed Lacy appearing to have trouble formulating sentences and speaking incoherently as he insisted that he was ‘not out of pocket.’

He claimed that he had just flown in from Green Bay – where he made an appearance – and that he had drank ‘a single shot’ of tequila on the flight.

Lacy said he was en route to his girlfriend’s house, which he motioned to show was nearby.

He was ultimately booked for ‘Extreme DUI’ which is a blood-alcohol content of 0.20 or more. Lacy was also charged for allegedly driving with an open container of alcohol in the vehicle.

The bruising 250-pound running back was born in 1990 in Louisiana, where he was raised until Hurricane Katrina forced his family to flee to Beaumont, Texas in 2005. The family later relocated to Baton Rouge, where Lacy completed high school before enrolling at Alabama.

Lacy signed a one-year, $5.5 million deal with the Seattle Seahawks in 2017

Lacy ran for an impressive 1,322 yards and 17 touchdowns in 2012 before being picked by the Packers in the second round of that year’s NFL Draft.

Lacy’s first NFL season would be his best as he ran for a career-high 1,178 yards and 11 touchdowns for a Packers team that ultimately won the NFC North.

Injuries soon began to take their toll on Lacy, who signed a one-year, $5.5 million deal with the Seattle Seahawks in 2017, only to average a career-low 2.6-yards per carry.

For his career, Lacy earned $7.5 million over five NFL seasons.
