It appears all is well between Cheryl Hines and Robert F. Kennedy Jr., as the actress posted a video of the Secretary of Health and Human Services nominee nude in the shower to social media Friday.
After the marriage between the Curb Your Enthusiasm star and Kennedy appeared on the rocks due to his embrace of Donald Trump and rumored ‘digital affair’ with journalist Olivia Nuzzi, Hines has reportedly been ‘playing nice’ with the MAGA crowd.
That appeared on full display in a pair of Black Friday Instagram posts from Hines to promote her Hines+Young self care brand.
The first snap saw Hines, 59, seemingly interrupted in recording her promo by Kennedy showering in the nude, only covered up by Hines in the foreground.
In the post, captioned ‘H+Y content interruption’ she laughs, saying: ‘You can’t take a shower, I’m doing a video! No, no, no, I’m doing a… you’ve gotta give me a second I’m doing a video for Hines+Young. Honey… 60% off.’
The entire time, the 70-year-old Kennedy just goes about his shower, seemingly either unaware or unbothered by Hines’ presence.
The video, which also includes her writing ‘Oh Bobby’ with a heart emoji, cuts off before an additional snap that has a more Kennedy-centric branding for her product line.
It revealed that Hines is now selling ‘MAHA’ branded candles, a reference to Kennedy’s new slogan of ‘Make America Healthy Again.’
It comes as the actress appears to have made amends with her husband both personally and politically.
Hines was seen at Mar-a-Lago looking happy and relaxed on Election Night and mingling with the sea of Trump supporters at the America First Policy Institute gala last week, Page Six reported.
A source told the outlet that the actress was ‘playing nice with MAGA world’ and had even been seen talking with Donald Trump, who recently nominated Kennedy to be his Health Secretary.
‘Cheryl was talking to everyone,’ the source said.
Hines sat with some of Trump’s inner circle, including Tulsi Gabbard, who he nominated for Director of National Intelligence; his son, Donald Trump Jr., and ex-Fox News host Tucker Carlson, among others.
Earlier this year, the Democrat had expressed ‘trepidation’ about her husband’s choice to drop out of the presidential race to back the then-Republican nominee.
‘This is a really difficult issue for Cheryl,’ Kennedy said in August. ‘This is the opposite of what she would want to do.
‘She went along with it because she loves me and she wanted to be supportive of me, but it was not something that she ever encouraged. I would say, her trepidation about this and her discomfort with this were the dominant feelings.’
Hines and Kennedy husband went through a rough patch earlier this year after he had an alleged digital affair with former New York Magazine reporter Olivia Nuzzi.
Nuzzi and the magazine parted ways after she was suspended over their relationship. The magazine had enlisted a law firm to conduct an investigation after learning of the secret affair.
The law firm reportedly found no inaccuracies nor evidence of bias in the former Washington correspondent’s 2024 presidential campaign reporting.
Kennedy has insisted he only met the political journalist once when she did a profile on him last year.
‘Mr. Kennedy only met Olivia Nuzzi once in his life for an interview she requested, which yielded a hit piece,’ his spokesman told CNN. A source added that the nature of the relationship was ’emotional and digital in nature, not physical’.
But insiders told the New York Post the pair had engaged in ‘sexting,’ despite RFK Jr. being married and Nuzzi being engaged to Politico’s chief Washington correspondent, Ryan Lizza, 50, at the time.
Hines said at the time that she’s not concerned about the rumors regarding her husband.
‘Lots of emotions with rumors! But, it will all be in my book. I’m writing a book. I’ve been taking notes — serious notes,’ she told US Weekly.
‘People have a lot of feelings about politics, especially in Hollywood, and I don’t know. I mean, so far I feel like it’s OK.
‘I’m OK to have conversations like that with people and, to me, it doesn’t define somebody. To some people it does and it’s like you can’t control it. There’s nothing I can do about it, so I have to let it wash over me.’
The Emmy-nominated actress, best known for portraying Larry David’s wife Cheryl on the HBO hit Curb Your Enthusiasm, told the outlet she would be focusing on her family.
Earlier this month, Kennedy thanked his wife for sticking by him while he spoke at a Trump campaign even in West Palm Beach, Florida.
He expressed gratitude for ‘the most supportive person in this room who has sustained me throughout my campaign, Cheryl Hines.’
She later responded by echoing his message of thanks, but added: ‘Ooh, it has been a journey.’
Hines will more than likely have to continue to ‘play nice’ with Republicans after her husband’s nomination.
