Sabrina Carpenter embraced the Halloween spirit at her Dallas concert, stepping on stage in a bold Playboy costume—just days after her ex Shawn Mendes shared the ‘truth’ about his sexuality during his own show.
During Wednesday’s gig in the Lone Star State, the singer made several costume changes while performing her Short n’ Sweet tour that for this one night would be dubbed the ‘Short n’ Spooky’ concert in honor of the holiday.
The rising pop star would swap out the Victoria’s Secret bodysuits she typically wears during her opening set and replace them with a Playboy bunny costume.
The crystal-adorned strapless corset, which showcased her petite curves while putting extra emphasis on her legs and cleavage, was matched up with a black bowtie and white collar combination, white cuffs, matching pair of heels, and a white tail.
Rounding out her Halloween look the singer-songwriter also donned the iconic Playboy bunny ears over her platinum blonde locks that flowed down with extra volume, along with some waves and curls.
Miles away in West Hollywood, Shawn celebrated Halloween dressed as a ninja, handing out candy with friends.
Just days earlier, during his show at Red Rocks Amphitheatre, Shawn shared with fans, ‘The real truth about my life and my sexuality is that, man, I’m just figuring it out like everyone.’
The Stitches singer sparked romance rumors with Sabrina after they were seen together in Los Angeles in 2023.
The sighting fueled speculation of a love triangle with Shawn’s ex, Camila Cabello, whom he dated on and off from 2019 to 2023.
Meanwhile, Sabrina’s Playboy attire wasn’t the only holiday-inspired outfit the Looking At Me star slipped into during her most recent concert.
She would also take to her social media platforms, such as TikTok and Instagram, and model her various Halloween costumes for the fans that also included Tinker Bell and Sandy from Grease.
Before her gig in Dallas, Carpenter shook her bunny tail while showing them off for the cameras, and again when she took the stage in the iconic ensemble.
For her Sandy Olsson look, the Quakertown, Pennsylvania native, 25, opted for the all-black leather and spandex ensemble much like the one Olivia Newton-John wore near the end of the classic film, complete with an unlit cigarette she used as a prop.
While looking nearly spot-on to the movie version, Carpenter performed a sweet rendition of Hopefully Devoted To You during her Act II of her concert.
While paying homage to Tinker Bell, the Espresso hitmaker wore a silver sequin two-piece consisting of a skimpy miniskirt and sleeveless top, along with big white wings behind her.
She would open the show with Taste, followed by Good Graces and her hit Slim Pickens.
Throughout the Halloween-inspired concert she also played her biggest hits such as Please Please Please, Feather and the of course her summer anthem, Espresso, which she used as the encore to close the show.
After her gig in Dallas, Carpenter took to her Instagram page and wrote, ‘a short n’ spooky halloweeeeen.’
The Take on The World star actually actually had the Halloween day off on Thursday, so she was able to enjoy the holiday with her friends and colleagues.
Her next show is the following day, on Friday, November 1 at Ball Arena in Denver, Colorado, which leads to more shows on the West Coast such as Salt Lake City, Vancouver, Canada, Seattle, and others leading up to her two concerts at Kia Forum in Inglewood on November 17 and 18.
She will then take a break for the holidays and into the new Year before resuming the tour in Europe with a show in Dublin, Ireland on March 3, 2025.
Carpter sent a message after the show in Texas: ‘Dallas!!! What a swer
To date, she is scheduled to perform through until March 26 in Milan, Italy, but there is always the possibility more shows will be added.
The Short n’ Sweet Tour, which is her first trek playing arenas, is in support of Carpenter’s sixth studio album Short n’ Sweet, which dropped on August 23.
The album features the singles Espresso, Please Please Please, Taste, and Bad Chem.
Short n’ Sweet (2024) has the distinction of being Carpenter’s first Platinum-certified and number-one record of her career.
