Shocking moment security guard tries to tackle Travis Scott after failing to recognize rapper at Lakers-Clippers game

Famous rapper Travis Scott was nearly tackled to the hardwood by an Intuit Dome security guard after the Los Angeles basketball showdown between the Clippers and Lakers on Tuesday night.

Scott was sitting courtside for the NBA matchup next to Fanatics CEO Michael Rubin and his 18-year-old daughter, Kylie, in the West Coast version of celebrity row.

At what appears to be after the conclusion of the game, Scott is attempting to leave the floor and the venue.

He walks by a security guard in a dark gray suit jacket and a black undershirt, who does not recognize the ‘SICKO MODE’ lyricist. Scott, dressed in a brown coat, with a chain and a green shirt, is quickly corralled by the security guard when passing half court.

The security guard gets a firm grasp on the back of Scott’s coat, making the rapper’s first attempt to break free unsuccessful.

Nearby security guards and venue staff then see what has transpired and intervene in the situation, forcing Scott free. Scott walks away from the incident as he puts his jacket back properly onto his shoulders.

Requests for comment on the incident from Clippers and Intuit Dome officials have not immediately been returned to DailyMail.com.

Scott appears unbothered by the security guard’s near-tackling attempt as he daps up someone near the tunnel to exit the floor as the video concludes.

Fans also looked on in shock as Scott was being manhandled by the member of the Clippers’ home stadium security.

Scott is an uber-famous face to some, having sold nearly 10million albums in his career.

Scott has performed on the biggest stage in music before in his career as well, accompanying Maroon 5 during the halftime performance at the Super Bowl in 2019.

Tuesday night’s NBA crosstown showdown was the first time Luka Doncic appeared with the Lakers courtside for a game, sat next to LeBron James for several sequences.

Representatives for Scott, the Clippers, nor the Intuit Dome have spoken publicly about the incident.

The Lakers blew out the Clippers 122-97 as James led all scorers with 26 points.
