There was a lot of debate on X over the past week about H-1B visas and it caused a lot of turmoil on the right. Ultimately, Elon Musk acknowledged the abuses and that the program needed to be reformed. He said it should be made more expensive to hire from overseas than domestically.

Easily fixed by raising the minimum salary significantly and adding a yearly cost for maintaining the H1B, making it materially more expensive to hire from overseas than domestically.
I’ve been very clear that the program is broken and needs major reform.

“Easily fixed by raising the minimum salary significantly and adding a yearly cost for maintaining the H1B, making it materially more expensive to hire from overseas than domestically,” Musk wrote on X late Saturday in response to a thread claiming H1-B visas were being used to hire low-wage programmers and developers.
The idea would be that whatever they decide, it should be better for America, and it shouldn’t hurt American workers.

The furor over the debate had some on the left mocking the right and saying they were splintering before Trump took office. But that reveals actually how cult-like leftists are that they won’t have that kind of debate.
ESPN’s Stephen A. Smith took the opportunity to praise MAGA and folks on the right for the open debate, and he also nuked the Democrats in the process. He cut right to one of the biggest takeaways from the argument — that you could have that debate on the right. You can’t on the left, with Democrats.

NEW: Stephen A. Smith praises MAGA for allowing an open debate about H-1B visas.
His comments serve as a stern rebuke to Dems for making you “obey the party line, or you’re out on your ass.”

“I agree with the idea of there being an open, robust debate about it because it is not something that the Democrats allow. The Democrats stopped letting people decide. One could easily argue their mentality seemed to be, you must obey the party line, or you’re out on your ass.” “At least in the Trump administration, there appears to be a debate allowed.”
“What has ailed the democrats?” he asked. “It’s not an ideology alone,” he explained, indicating the problem isn’t just their political positions. It’s that if you go against that narrative, “cancel culture kicked in.” “There was no room for debate.”
Smith’s take on this was brilliant where he talks about the Democrats’ “diversity” — in identity politics — but NOT in diversity of thought. You must get on board with what the party wants, or all that diversity doesn’t matter, “you were pushed out…you must obey the party line or you’re out on your ass.”

But that’s why the Democrats “are home. And Donald Trump is on his way back to the White House.”
Boom.
Now that is one heck of a kicking summation of the failure of the Democrats in just a few words. Has he been red-pilled? I’m not sure where exactly he is on his political journey at this point, but he sure has the Democrats’ number, and he isn’t shy about nailing them with it. And it’s why former Democrats are shifting right or leaving them, because they just don’t make any sense, and they are actually the ones being fascistic.
We have a great opportunity now, as they lie in waste, if we can seize it and move it forward.
