The $20 must-have summer buy nobody believes is from Big W: ‘They are perfect’

An Aussie mum has found the ‘perfect’ pair of linen-look pants – and they are only $20 at Big W.

Gem Brycee couldn’t believe her eyes when she stumbled across the pants on the shelves of the budget retailer.

To passers-by they looked like a design from the likes of Alemais or an up-market Italian fashion house.

Instead, Gem said, they were ‘comfy and cheap as’.

‘I think I have found the perfect linen pant,’ she explained on TikTok, clarifying that they were ‘linen look’ not actual linen.

‘They are so summery, so, so light and honestly stunning. Big W everybody.’

Her post delighted hundreds of shoppers who loved the stylish pants – even moreso when they found out they go up to a size 26.

‘Excuse me! I am heading to Big W,’ one woman raved.

The pants are just $20 and have a 'linen vibe'

‘Literally got this because of you and walked past a girl picking up the same – your impact,’ said another.

‘I just bought two pairs.’

The mum went on to explain they are not see through like some budget pants and they are true to size. She snapped up a size 14.

Others complained the pants had already sold out at their closest stores.

‘I just went in to my local and there are none left!’ one woman complained.

‘They don’t have the same size range at my store,’ another wrote.

‘Why do all the good things sell out so quickly?’

Others noted the pants look similar to more expensive dupes sold at Sportsgirl for $80.

The pants can be bought as part of a matching set – with the top also $20.

The retailer also has a matching top - though the pants appeared more popular online

Many were also asking how best to style the pant given the unique pattern.

‘I don’t like the double pattern look but don’t really know what else they will work with,’ one woman said.

‘I like pairing it with a block colour – usually something found in the print, this works for tops or bottoms,’ a style fan advised.

‘I like wearing an oversized black t-shirt with mine,’ Gem chimed in.

A Creative Big W fan revealed they had bought two pairs of the pants – with plans to turn one into shorts.
