The $25 bag from Target Australia that looks just like a $2000 designer buy: ‘Best dupe I’ve ever seen’

Australian shoppers are stunned after discovering a $25 dupe of a famous designer bag worth more than $2,000.

The Target Angled shoulder bag ($25) has been compared to a similar design by Mary-Kate Olsen and Ashley Olsen‘s brand The Row.

Australia’s cost of living crisis has caused many to tighten their purse strings and forego luxuries like new outfits and accessories.

Fashion fans obsessed with The Row’s Half Moon shoulder bag ($2,070) can now get the same look for much less after a trip to their local Target store.

The bargain bag boasts a ‘leather look’ with an attached shoulder strap and unique angled shape.

‘Target has some great bags at the moment and very affordable too!’ a shopper raved online.

‘I love that they are available in so many colours to go with any outfit or accessory.’

Another said, ‘Target’s bags are so affordable and chic. Who is paying more than $2,000 for a bag in this economy?’

Similarly, a stylish $15 bag has been flying off Kmart shelves after shoppers noticed a keen resemblance to a high-end designer bag costing almost $10,000.

The Shimmer Bag ($15) has a unique curvilinear base and glitter details all around, including along the crossbody strap.

Kmart’s affordable product looks like Spanish fashion house Balenciaga‘s famous Hourglass XS handbag ($9,900).

While the luxury bag is suede calfskin and studded with rhinestones, Kmart’s version is a close enough dupe to make anyone do a double take.

Hundreds of shoppers shared their love for the budget brand online.

‘I just went to Kmart to buy an umbrella and spent $200,’ one said. ‘Kmart is making me broke.’

‘I’m in love with Kmart bags,’ another wrote.

A third said, ‘I absolutely love a crossbody bag.’

For shoppers who aren’t a fan of dupes, a little-known Australian retailer has started selling high-end brands for a fraction of the price.

The ‘hidden gem’ discount retailer where you can find designer buys from brands like Fendi, Dior, and Aje for affordable prices.

It sells old stock from previous seasons – and shoppers have described it as a ‘clearance treasure hunt’.

Many have seen bags from Fendi, Dior, and Bottega Venetta on sale.
