The Left Is Freaking Out Over Trump’s ‘Little Secret,’ Speaker Johnson Just Laughs

“He’s going to stage a coup!” “Trump’s going to steal the election!” “Trump’s going to put a giant swastika on the White House!”

OK, that last one I just made up, but the first two are the type of reactions we’re seeing from nervous nellie Democrats after Trump said Sunday at his Madison Square Garden rally that he has “a little secret.”

Ooh, so scary:

“We’ll tell ya what it is when the race is over.” ~ President Trump talking with Matt Gaetz.

His remarks caused Dems to get their knickers in a twist:

His comments, delivered with a chuckle, set off a reported wave of fear and panic among Democrats who speculated that Trump could have been referring to attempts to steal the election.

The potentially dangerous Trump plot really got into the head of one of the most odious members of Congress, Dan Goldman:

Rep. Dan Goldman, D-N.Y., told the Times he took Trump to mean he had a “backup plan” in case Republicans lose the election.

“There’s a lot of ability for a bad actor to mess with the Electoral College if he’s the speaker of the House,” he said. “If I’m wrong, they should say so. Trump has a lot of secrets: His medical records are secret, his taxes are secret, his phone calls with Vladimir Putin are secret. Clearly he hides a lot from the American people. Now he’s openly stated that he’s hiding something from the electorate.”

Don’t worry, we’ll get you a teddy bear to clutch, Dan.

House Speaker Mike Johnson (R-LA), meanwhile, found the whole freak out hilarious, revealing that there’s actually nothing sinister at all—the secret is a get-out-the-vote operation. Spooky!

Johnson:

“It’s nothing scandalous, but we’re having a ball with this. The media, their heads are exploding. ‘What is the secret?’” Johnson told a crowd of about 90 people on Monday at a rally to support GOP congressional candidate Ryan Mackenzie, after a person in the crowd asked about the comment.

“It’s thing we have about — it’s a get-out-the-vote. It’s one of our tactics on get-out-the-vote,” Johnson said.

“But they are convinced,” he added, dramatically rubbing his hands together as if he was coming up with an evil plan.

Democrats are always a shrill, hysterical bunch, and with this latest round of fear-mongering, they reveal their true selves once again. Although Johnson didn’t reveal the full details of the get-out-the-vote operation, it certainly doesn’t sound like a “Dr. Evil” Hitlerian plot to hijack the American government.

Leave it to Dan Goldman, though, to work himself into a lather over one little comment made during an hours-long rally.
