Donald Trump is shaping his second stint in the White House from Mar-a-Lago while Republicans have to win just seven more seats to take control of the House.

The president-elect made history Thursday night by picking Susie Wiles as his chief of staff, the first woman to ever hold the role.

He is expected to fill top positions in his administration during the countdown to his inauguration on January 20.

Meanwhile, the blame game among Democrats is getting more ferocious, with reports on Friday that President Joe Biden‘s and Vice President Kamala Harris‘ staff are blaming each other for the historic defeat.

Many are also asking how Harris managed to lose in a landslide despite raising $1billion in the most expensive presidential race in history.

Pelosi knifes Biden AGAIN as she flips and blames him and Kamala for Democrat losses

image

Jon Michael Raasch, Political Reporter for DailyMail.com in Washington, D.C.

Former House Speaker Nancy Pelosi twisted the knife even further into President Joe Biden and Vice President Kamala Harris by suggesting Democrats should have gotten the opportunity to pick another candidate.

The 84-year-old also said that if Biden had dropped out earlier, the party she has led for decades would have had time to consider its options.

The devastating comments from the California lawmaker to the New York Times comes as civil war has erupted in the Democrats over Donald Trump’s rout.

Pelosi’s admission that she did not want Kamala Harris to automatically become the nominee after Joe Biden’s mid-July drop-out appears to be damage control by the longtime Democratic kingmaker after this week’s embarrassing loss.

Tim Walz vows to keep an open mind but fight for Minnesota in first remarks since election defeat

‘I don’t know about you, but I’ve had a week,’ Tim Walz said joking after taking the stage to give his first remarks since the election defeat on Tuesday.

The Minnesota governor and Kamala Harris’ 2024 running mate began by thanking the vice president for putting her faith in him and the joyful campaign.

He also thanked his Minnesota and campaign staff as well as the supporters who backed the ticket.

‘It’s hard to lose. It’s hard to understand while so many of our fellow citizens, people we have fought so long and hard form wound up choosing the other path. It’s hard to reckon with what that path looks like over the next four years,’ he said.

Walz encouraged people to take the time for themselves and their loved ones.

‘Whenever you’re ready to get back in that fight, I’ll be standing right here ready to fight the fight with you,’ he said.

Walz said despite the deep disappointment he has never felt more inspired and motivated and ‘fired up for what’s possible in this country.’

He shared how he got to travel the entire country the past few months and meet people, and he said what he learned is that people realy all want the same things in life. He talked about meaningful work, good schools, affordable health care and more.

‘I think most of all, and you saw it in a very deep way, people want freedom to live their lives the way the want to live them,’ he said.

While Walz talked about his hope, he also warned while he’s keeping an open mind, the state needs to be ready for what is coming with the Trump administration.

‘The moment they try and bring a hateful agenda in this state, I’m going to stand ready to stand up and fight for the way we do things here,’ he said.

He said Minnesota has always been there and always will be the ‘provide shelter from the storm.’

Walz noted there were 1.5 million Minnesotans that voted for Trump and Vance in the election. He said while there is not room for the most extreme elements of their agenda, he called for a place for everyone to be heard.

‘Now that this election is behind us, I’m going to try even harder to keep an open mind, open heart and really listen to folks who don’t support me or my policies, to work with everyone in the legislature to seek compromise and common ground because that’s how we come back together after such a long time spent fighting each other,’ he said.

But Walz also took one final opportunity to make a dig at his rival JD Vance pointing out he knows how to order donuts.

He is being introduced by his wife Gwen Walz.

She said she was so thankful to get to know the vice president and Doug Emhoff.

Mrs. Walz said it is ok to feel sad and scared and told supporters to give themselves the ‘grace to grieve.’

She also said the work continues to keep Minnesota safe and inclusive and strong.

‘We cannot and we will not give up this fight,’ she said to cheers.

Former Trump national security advisor Robert O’Brien isn’t ruling out a top foreign policy role in the second Trump administration.

‘The President would have to ask. I’ve always said in the past I’d salute and say yes, but I’l have that conversation maybe with the president,’ he told Fox News when asked about returning to the White House as part of Trump’s national security team.

Then O’Brien floated other names, as former U.S. ambassador to Germany Ric Grenell continues to be mentioned to get a leading role. ‘He’s got a lot of great people, Ric Grenell, [Sen.] Bill Hagerty, [Sen.] Marco Rubio, [former DNI] John Radcliffe, [retired Gen.] Keith Kellogg. I mean, there’s just a plethora of people that want to serve and who are qualified and capable and professional and do a great job for the president,’ he said.

Iranian-American activist Masih Alinejad said FBI told her she was target in murder-for-hire plot

Iranian-American activist Masih Alinejad said on Fox News that she is the individual that was targeted for murder in the Iran-backed plot exposed Friday.

An Iranian government plot to hire hitmen to assassinate Donald Trump was thwarted just a month before the election, chilling documents unsealed Friday reveal.

The men are also accused of targeting an Iranian-American activist and were offered $500,000 to kill two Jewish businessmen living in the U.S.

The IRGC were in constant contact with the suspects, and said that ‘money was not an object’ when it came to pursuing their targets.

They traveled to Fairfield University in Connecticut, where Alinejad was set to appear earlier this year, and also stalked her home in Brooklyn.

Alinejad said she is ‘grateful’ to the FBI for informing her ahead of the Fairfield University event, which she skipped to ‘project the students.’

‘I don’t want to die. I want to be alive to see the end of this regime,’ Alinejad added.

Jon Michael Raasch, Political Reporter for DailyMail.com in Washington, D.C.

Democrat Sen. John Fetterman is facing backlash after cursing out thousands of voters in his home state.

Republican Dave McCormick was recently announced as the winner of the Key Stone State’s razor-thin Senate race by the Associated Press, though incumbent Democrat Bob Casey has not yet conceded.

McCormick, the former CEO of Bridgewater Associates – one of the world’s largest hedge funds – stunningly flipped the seat held by Casey for three terms red.

Talking on X about that Senate race, Fetterman demanded that voters have patience as ballots are still being tallied. Then he viciously tore into Green Party voters.

‘Pennsylvania is going to count every last vote,’ he posted. ‘That’s not controversial- that’s the law.’

‘Also, Green dip****s’ votes helping elect the GOP,’ Fetterman’s post continued, featuring a picture of the party’s candidate.

Ted Cruz jokes Joe Biden voted for Donald Trump and was happy when Kamala lost

Jon Michael Raasch, Political Reporter for DailyMail.com in Washington, D.C.

Republican Texas Sen. Ted Cruz believes Joe Biden is happy Kamala Harris lost.

Speaking on his podcast this week Cruz, who recently won reelection, told his audience that the president may be the person most pleased with Harris’ defeat.

‘I gotta say, there’s at least one Democrat right now who is celebrating, who is smiling ear to ear, who may well be the happiest man in the world, and that would be Joseph Robinette Biden,’ Cruz said.

The Texan noted how Biden looked joyful during a speech seeking to bring the country together after Donald Trump’s win.

‘He is joyful. And I’m going to wager you $20 bucks that Joe Biden and Jill Biden, they both pulled the lever for Donald Trump when they voted on Tuesday,’ the lawmaker continued.

Jack Smith asks to delay deadlines in January 6 case due to ‘unprecedented circumstance’

(FILES) Special counsel Jack Smith speaks to members of the media at the US Department of Justice building in Washington, DC, on August 1, 2023. Donald Trump's election victory not only catapults him back to the White House but grants him a reprieve from looming court battles and soaring legal bills. Special Counsel Jack Smith is already in talks with Justice Department officials about winding down the two federal cases filed against the former president, NBC News and CNN reported November 6, 2024, just hours after Trump's win. They said the move was being taken in light of the long-standing Justice Department policy that a sitting US president cannot be indicted or criminally prosecuted. His filing to Chutkan, who is overseeing the January 6 case, follows reports that the Justice Department is exploring ways to wind down its cases against Trump now that he is president-elect.

‘As a result of the election held on November 5, 2024, the defendant is expected to be certified as President-elect on January 6, 2025, and inaugurated on January 20, 2025,’ Smith wrote in a new filing.

‘The Government respectfully requests that the Court vacate the remaining deadlines in the pretrial schedule to afford the Government time to assess this unprecedented circumstance and determine the appropriate course going forward consistent with Department of Justice policy,’ prosecutors wrote. They said the government will file a status report by December 2 ‘or otherwise inform the Court of the result of its deliberations.’

Kamala Harris’ campaign eviscerated for spending $1 BILLION and still losing: ‘What the f***!’

image

Jon Michael Raasch, Political Reporter for DailyMail.com in Washington, D.C.

Joe Biden and Kamala Harris’ teams are blaming each other for wasting over one billion dollars in donor cash on a doomed presidential campaign.

Since Donald Trump’s historic victory, Democrats have been in disarray over how their sizable war chest was not able to ward off the Republican who they consider a ‘threat to democracy.’

President Joe Biden’s poor performance in his June debate with Trump that led to his last-minute decision to drop out of the race is to blame for Kamala’s loss, Harris aides are saying.

But Biden staff say the vice president ran a terrible three-month campaign and squandered millions of dollars from their top donors.

‘How did you spend $1 billion and not win? What the f***?’ said a former Biden staffer infuriated by Harris team’s excuses.

Democrats are once again asking Sonia Sotomayor to retire

Democrats are renewing a conversation that began in the Spring of 2024 about the need for Supreme Court Justice Sonia Sotomayor, 70, to retire.

The fear among some is that Sotomayor could die during President-elect Donald Trump’s first term allowing him to select her replacement.

A better plan, they argue, is for her to step down and allow President Joe Biden to choose her replacement before he leaves office.

How Trump won America back: The graphs that show how he cemented a staggering victory

Donald Trump has pulled off the biggest political comeback in history, becoming President once again with a thumping victory that sent shockwaves around the world.

He is on track to secure the Republicans their biggest win since 1988, despite a catalogue of polls ahead of the 2024 election predicting the race between Trump and Kamala Harris would be neck-and-neck.

In what has been dubbed a ‘red tsunami’, twice-impeached Trump – who survived two assassination attempts during a tumultuous campaign – is on course to thrash Harris by over 4million votes.

He could also secure all seven swing states, fuelled by him gaining territory among Hispanic and Black voters in heavily-contested battlegrounds.

It is a trend that has stunned opponents and already triggered soul-searching among Democrats, who critics say have taken the votes of ethnic groups for granted.

Democrats give an update on state of Senate races

Senate races are still yet to be called in Arizona, where Kari Lake and Ruben Gallego are facing off, and in Nevada where Sam Brown and Jacky Rosen are battling it out.

Democratic Senatorial Campaign Committee (DSCC) communications director David Bergstein said in a statement Friday about the remaining Senate races:

The remaining ballots being counted will continue to strengthen Democrats’ standing in our Senate races. When this process of counting the votes concludes Democrats will have won races in multiple states carried by Trump and successfully limited the GOP’s potential gains on their historically favorable map.

These results, which defy historical trends, are a stark demonstration of the strength of our candidates, and the unique support they have earned from voters of every political party in a challenging political atmosphere.

I was with him in Mar-a-Lago on Tuesday night, and [I had an] opportunity to be with him midnight that morning in Grand Rapids when he took the stage at midnight, his fourth rally of the day, two hours on stage.

People need to understand that there isn’t anybody that works harder than President Trump, incredible once in a lifetime.

He went on to say that America’s allies are ‘excited’ about having Trump back in office.

‘They know policies will support allies and have maximum pressure under our adversaries. It was not like that with Biden. Fantastic new day with foreign policy.’

Well, as you know, President Trump and I were outsiders, both business guys and elected first time in public office back in November of 2016. That perspective, my spending 25 years building global companies had people working for me all over the world.

Top Democratic strategist says party was ‘held hostage’ to the far left

Former Hillary Clinton adviser Philippe Reines said the Democrats needed to get away from being ‘tagged’ as far left.

He told CNN:

I don’t like the fact that a small portion of our party is pretty much dictating where we are. We need to take stock of why we are being held hostage to the far left. No one should be and wants to be kowtowing to the extremes of their own parties. That just shouldn’t it.

To the extent that majority should rule the majority of Democrats don’t agree with the things that we are being tagged with. I think Democrats believe in common sense stuff more than you realize.

Reines added:

Most Democrats I know think there’s a huge problem at the border. Most Democrats I know think, frankly, that males at birth shouldn’t play a woman’s sports and vice versa.

It is understood that Trump’s sons Eric Trump and Don Jr are playing a significant role in helping the president choose his second cabinet.

He’s been so focused in fact that his usually hectic social media feeds have been dormant since Tuesday. He hasn’t posted once.

The Republican has been meeting with close confidants and campaign staff to work on filling out top administration roles with MAGA loyalists.

Who is Susie Wiles? Trump’s new chief of staff and ‘work wife’ is grandma who has grown men quaking

As President-elect Donald Trump delivered his election night victory speech on Tuesday, he singled out one person for special thanks.

‘Let me also express my tremendous appreciation for Susie…’ Trump said beaming and turning to family and staff crowding the stage at his Palm Beach, Florida campaign headquarters.

‘The job you did. Come, Susie. Come here Susie,’ he beckoned. ‘Susie likes to stay sort of in the back… We call her the ice maiden.’

Then the phalanx of towering, designer-clad women, including Trump’s daughter-in-law Lara and Don Jr’s fiancée Kimberly Guilfoyle, parted and a gray-haired grandmother in a pale blouse and golden hoop earrings stepped forward.

Usually, when Trump invites someone to the lectern they almost trip over themselves to get there. But not Susie Wiles.

The 67-year-old shook the president-elect’s hand and smiled but when he suggested that she ‘say a few words,’ her eyes widened and she vigorously shook her head ‘no’.

Iowa pollster makes bombshell claim about controversial poll that showed Kamala winning deep red state after Trump’s triumphant victory

The Iowa pollster who made a wildly inaccurate prediction that Kamala Harris would win in the deep-red state now claims her mistake may have actually helped Donald Trump.

‘I told more than one news outlet that the findings from this last poll could actually energize and activate Republican voters who thought they would likely coast to victory,’ she wrote Thursday. ‘Maybe that’s what happened.’

Selzer added she was ‘thinking about how we got where we are.’

The bombshell admission comes as election returns continue to show good news for Trump, as Arizona and Nevada are expected to put him over 300 electoral votes with Republicans favored to keep hold of the House of Representatives.
