Trump Launches Investigations Into USAID Funding Recipients and More

Over the past few days, a lot of attention has been drawn to the shadow government that was the US Agency for International Development. I’ll spare you all the background details, but revelations driven by Elon Musk’s DOGE team. The high points would be that USAID bankrolled a network of mostly progressive non-profits who made subgrants to push leftist and Marxist ideology despite it not being the policy of the US government to do that.

USAID was also involved in funding some US media organizations in a story that is developing even as I write this; see NEW: Massive Press Scandal As USAID Funding for ‘Politico’ Revealed, and It Gets Worse From There and White House Pulls the Plug on Federal Subsidies to Leftist Media.

From the way the Democrats have been howling, you know something very illegal is taking place.

Based on open-source database queries and contact-mapping software, you can get an idea of what they don’t want us to see. This is what a typical USAID grant looks like. It passes through a lot of hands and a little bit of cash sticks at every level.

Not all the names on the list of USAID grant recipients are those you’d expect. I’m not insinuating wrongdoing, but I do think we are owed answers.

In a bizarre twist, even other federal agencies give money to USAID, which then funnels it to God-knows-where.

Unlike Senator William Proxmire’s “Golden Fleece Awards,” there is a very good chance that this seemingly corrupt system will not end up as merely a few chuckles.

I’d like to see what the kickbacks are. How much money has been kicked back? … The people that got all that money, are they kicking it back to the people that gave it, from government? …It’s one of the things I want to investigate rapidly.

President Trump’s appetite to root out corruption doesn’t seem fixated on the federal bureaucracy.

There is only one way to do so little with the enormous amount of money thrown at California’s high-speed rail boondoggle, and that involves felonies.

President Trump’s intent to follow up DOGE audits with criminal investigations will horrify citizens when the results are made public. That, in turn, may lead to a cultural reform of the US Government.
