I knew that Joe Biden was going to drop unconscionable pardons just as he went out the door, although I thought it would be the day before and he wouldn’t wait until the absolute last minutes of his time occupying the White House.

It didn’t take a rocket scientist to figure out that he was going to throw out a blanket pardon for members of his family and folks like Liz Cheney. The funnier thing was the people he didn’t pardon, like Michael Cohen who was desperate and pleading for one on MSNBC. He also skipped Alvin Bragg, Jack Smith, and Fani Wilis.

But the other question I had was whether he would pardon himself. I thought he might, if his ego would allow him to. But when the question was raised, he responded by asking why he would do that because he had done nothing wrong.
So ultimately, his ego stopped him.
“Have you ruled out a pardon for yourself or any other additional members of the family?”
Biden: “For myself?”
“Yes, sir.”
“What would I pardon myself for?”
“That’s what I’m asking”

So how does he explain pardoning his family as well as people like Mark Milley and Anthony Fauci? Is he admitting they have done things wrong by pardoning them? That’s classic Joe Biden: he can’t keep his inconsistent actions straight in his head.
But then, what was interesting was a comment that Trump made during an interview that he just gave to Sean Hannity.
Trump suggests possible prosecution for Biden: “The funny thing, maybe the sad thing, is he didn’t give himself a pardon. And if you look at it, it all had to do with him.” pic.twitter.com/OCQ14KOODL

“This guy went around giving everybody pardons,” Trump said. “The funny thing, maybe the sad thing, is he didn’t give himself a pardon. And if you look at it, it all had to do with him.”
Whoops. Now you know he’s going to have Biden and the Democrats losing their minds over that comment, thinking Trump is going to prosecute Biden.
Now I don’t know if Trump or anyone in his administration is considering prosecuting Biden or if that’s simply Trump’s way of making a comment on the facts. But it is true that Biden has left the door open, should a prosecutor choose to walk through the door and pursue it, although there might be competency questions at this point with Biden.

And now all the folks he pardoned might potentially be called to testify about the “Big Guy.” That could expose a huge can of worms, not just on the alleged family influence peddling questions but potentially on other issues Biden might have had anything to do with as well.
