Former Vice President Kamala Harris and her husband, Doug Emhoff, were spotted at Thursday night’s game between the Los Angeles Lakers and the Golden State Warriors.

The ovation upon their arrival was nearly deafening as fans flocked to greet them and cheered their every move. People swooned. Children cried tears of joy.
Just kidding. Nobody seemed to give a rip that they were there.
A video surfaced on social media showing Harris and Emhoff taking their seats in front of the Lakers broadcast booth.

Granted, there are still a decent number of empty seats in the section of the stairs the Democrat rockstars are traversing at the time. Los Angeles, after all, is notorious for fans showing up to games late in the first quarter and then leaving before the game ends.
That said, can you imagine President Trump arriving at a game, even in deep blue California, without eliciting some significant buzz?
Comedian Jeff Dye was apparently in attendance at the game and took a big-time jab at Harris and her campaign having blown through about a billion dollars during her run.
Dye noted that the power couple weren’t exactly sitting courtside, and perhaps if she had more money on hand, she wouldn’t have been relegated to “row 58.”

Now This Is Joy: Trump and His Incoming Team Cheered at Army-Navy Game
As we are all about fairness here, we did manage to find one clip on X that shows a couple of Laker fans greeting Harris and Emhoff and having a brief conversation.
It seems like a manufactured interaction. The man appears to reference them still “smiling,” and Emhoff replies, “And the Lakers, man.”
We were moments away from him saying, “How do you do, fellow kids?”
Who knows, maybe a major political comeback of their own is just down the line. And this is where it all started.

Good to see Harris looking relaxed and totally dressed as if she is a genuine basketball fan.
TNT broadcaster and former NBA coach Stan Van Gundy didn’t necessarily agree. Athlon Sports reporter Sloan Piva noted Van Gundy’s reaction to seeing the former Veep at the Lakers game.
“I gotta tell ya, I’m a big Kamala Harris fan, but I wish she wasn’t here today,” Van Gundy said.

As Piva points out, Stan is a big left-wing nut, so that’s more of an assertion that he wished she was in the White House instead. Thankfully, she’s not. She’s in row 58 at a Lakers game, and nobody cares.
Compare that to the ovation President Trump gets at college football games, at NASCAR events, or any time he’s shown up at a UFC fight, for that matter.

Trump is going to be in attendance at Super Bowl LIX on Sunday. It seems unlikely that the crowd will be as subdued during his arrival.
As for the Lakers, they overcame the crowd’s dreariness with Harris in town and defeated the Warriors 120-112.
