One of the funniest things about the reaction of the Democrats and the anti-Trump crew to losing the continuing resolution battle is their effort to blame Elon Musk for it.

They are just melting down at him and claiming an “unelected billionaire” is controlling things.
Elon Musk is not an elected official. He’s been elected to nothing and has no place inserting himself like he’s the president when Congress is trying to get disaster relief to those who need it. pic.twitter.com/vdU43N3Gp5

And just a few hours later, the Puppet President-Elect weighs in to faithfully execute his benefactor Elon Musk’s orders. https://t.co/3QTrSQ7uN9

The American people deserve to know whether an “unofficial co-president” is advancing policies that are good for the country or just good for his own bottom line.https://t.co/Tu4wsU7VvN

First, anyone, including a billionaire can weigh in on this, and guess what, Rep. Balint? You’re supposed to serve us. We all get a say, not just “elected” officials. This shows the fundamental failure to understand their position — they work for us, we don’t work for them. They don’t get to dictate.
They’re mad at Musk because he has a big platform to speak from and the ear of President-elect Trump. But he’s also speaking on behalf of all of us. People were flooding X and members of Congress, telling them not to vote for the CR because of all the ridiculous pork and bad things in it. That’s how the system is supposed to work; that’s a good thing. If Democrats really cared about passing the bill for “disaster relief” as they claim, they don’t need to pass all the pork, too — they can just present a clean bill to vote on, with just that. They’re the bad guys here because they want to use people in trouble to get this monstrosity passed, to get themselves raises. Meanwhile, the folks in North Carolina are still suffering in the cold right now, with the Biden team missing in action.

Musk also probably has paid more taxes than any of us, so if any taxpayer has a right to weigh in, he certainly does. Plus, it’s his job, as the newly appointed co-head of DOGE, to be looking into waste and idiocies in government and this certainly was a huge idiocy. He should be commenting on it.
Democrats didn’t have a problem with George Soros’ involvement in government, or his son Alex’s, or any other wealthy Democratic donors. Funny about that.
But there’s also something else going on here, and I wanted to call it out because you can see former representative and well-known crier Adam Kinzinger (R-IL) employing it here. It’s that they’re all going to try this tactic of calling Musk the “President” and Trump the “VP-elect.”
🚨 LMAO! Adam Kinzinger is back to crying about @elonmusk on CNN again, calling him “President Musk”
These lefties are REALLY upset that We The People have a voice in our government again, courtesy of 𝕏! 🤣 pic.twitter.com/QjDYSsu49k

The purpose is to try to create a rift, thinking that Trump can’t deal with the praise of Musk. Then, if they can create a rift and make Musk go away, it will dilute some of Trump’s power.
This is a fundamental misunderstanding of Trump and is just next-level dumb. But that’s Kinzinger. It’s also dumb that they’re making the tactic obvious, so people can just laugh at how stupid it is.

Trump has pulled in people with powerful constituencies, including Musk, Robert F. Kennedy Jr., and Joe Rogan. It obviously doesn’t bother him to work with other powerful people, and they’ve all added up to making everything better. But he’s the center around which it all works.
Plus, this isn’t about money or power for Musk. He’s a true believer. It’s about affecting change. And that’s likely what worries the Democrats and the people who want the status quo — he truly wants to change things.
Beyond both Trump and Musk, underpinning it all should be what troubles the Democrats the most, if they understood it — it’s the power of the people that’s now being unleashed.
The people can see the light about what can be changed now, and they’re not going to settle for the same old nonsense anymore.
