Jen O’Malley Dillon and some of the Kamala Harris team went on “Pod Save America” to do an alleged breakdown of the election.
But she didn’t seem ready to acknowledge responsibility for such a huge loss, as Ed Morrissey at Hot Air observes. Instead, she threw out excuses, including seemingly suggesting that the media — which largely bent over backward to support Harris — was spreading a “narrative” about her not wanting to do interviews.

“I do think a narrative, 107 days… two weeks talking about how she didn’t do interviews, which you know she was doing plenty, but we were doing in our own way, we had to be the nominee, we had to find a running mate, and do a roll-out, I mean there was all these things that you kind of want to factor in. But real people heard, in some way, that we were not going to have interviews, which was both not true and also so counter to any kind of standard that was put on Trump, that I think that was a problem,” Dillon told “Pod Save America” host Dan Pfeiffer, noting that she was not a “media hater.”
Dillon then complained that when Harris did do interviews, the questions people asked her were “small and processy.” Harris campaign senior advisor Stephanie Cutter interrupted at that moment to add the questions were “dumb.” Then Dillon went on to claim the questions weren’t informing the voters and were doing them a disservice.

Oh my gosh, what a pile of bull cookies.
First, Harris most certainly did go weeks without doing interviews after Joe Biden stepped aside on July 21 and endorsed her. That wasn’t a “narrative” — that was the truth. She didn’t do an interview until the CNN sitdown with Dana Bash that aired on Aug. 29. Even then, she had to bring her emotional support governor, Tim Walz, with her.
Then, she did interviews with friendly outlets like CNN. And even with friendly outlets, she had trouble. But the only non-liberal media outlet she did was Fox. Trump never had to “worry about” it because he did all manner of interviews, including hostile interviews, and more than Harris did.
And as far as the interview questions being “small and processy” or “dumb” — can you imagine the nerve? How dare those outlets ask her questions that she might have to answer? Dillon didn’t identify what questions she was referencing but said that they weren’t “informing” people. But most of the interviews asked her simple things like “What are your plans to help with inflation?” — the number one issue for many people, yet she seemed to keep flubbing it. Her answer was often something like, “I understand because I come from a middle-class family.” Great. What are you going to do? The criticism of her failure to give clear answers was well-earned.
Harris would have been toast had she done Joe Rogan’s show. But again, Dillon claimed they didn’t do his show because they didn’t have time. She said they didn’t want to take time away from the battleground, and the timing just never worked out.

Again, I say bull cookies. Rogan is the biggest podcast in the world. They were able to find time to be on “Call Her Daddy” and other much smaller podcasts. They were able to find time to be on SNL. Kamala also took days off during the campaign for which Trump criticized her. He put it all out on the field for people to see and hear; she didn’t.
The Harris team is still spinning nonsense at us.
