Target Australia is giving competitors a run for their money after dropping a range of chic, stylish outfits for every occasion.
Customers are spoilt for choice with the latest ‘Lily Loves’ selection, with prices starting at $40.
The new $60 pink Asymmetrical Satin Midi Dress was dubbed a ‘must have’ by shoppers online, which is also available in black, leopard print and gold.
The $30 Strapless Satin Top and matching $50 Satin Maxi Skirt has already skyrocketed in popularity and is unavailable in certain sizes.
Both outfits are made from polyester but have an ‘all over satin feel’ for a chic finish.
The looks shared to the official Target Australia TikTok page quickly caught the attention of shoppers.
One woman said she’ll be ‘running to Target’ to pick up the latest pieces, and another said she ‘loves’ the designs.
A third admitted her ‘whole wardrobe’ is full of Target buys.
All styles are available nationwide from sizes four to 20.
Last year shoppers were running to Target to purchase an affordable summer dress that’s said to be a ‘dupe’ of a popular Australian designer.
The $60 Drop Waist Midi Dress looks similar to the $550 Anna Quan Drop Waist Maxi Dress.
The striking style embodies elegance and sophistication for a classic look that’ll turn heads at any event.
Both outfits are designed with a drop waist, white skirt and black strapless top with a straight neckline.
The Target option is ideal for those on a budget but is made from a blend of viscose and polyester while the designer alternative is made from cotton.
Forever New is also selling a mid-range option for $150.
An Aussie blogger who goes by the moniker ‘Kmart Insider’ revealed the side-by-side comparison online.
‘Target dropping $60 dupe of $550 designer dress? I’m so here for it!’ the caption read.
The Instagram post quickly caught the attention of others who raved about the Target dress.
‘Well done Target,’ one wrote.
‘Heading to target first thing tomorrow,’ another said.
A third preferred the budget Target version over the designer alternative.
The Target dress is available in sizes four to 14, is designed with hidden side seam pockets and a double layered top. There’s also a white version.
Earlier this year Kmart Australia released a trendy $35 summer dress that sent shoppers into a spin.
The Sleeveless Tie Back Midi Dress is a perfect summer essential designed with an Amalfi Coast-inspired pattern.
The print features sketches of lemons, olives, chilli, flowers, candles and wine – symbols often associated with Positano in Italy.
Other brands have released similar looks featuring the trending style; Palm Noosa launched a version costing $360 as well as Forever New for $189.99.
The mid-length Kmart dress is available in size six to 20, is made with a square neck, two side pockets and tie-up back detail.
Kmart Insider also noticed the buy and shared images on Instagram.
‘This summer’s hottest trend has just landed at Kmart! For just $35 we can all add some serious European charm to our look,’ she wrote.
